A Philosophy of Travelling Life

A Philosophy of Travelling Life

A Philosophy of Travelling Life

There is a thought that time does not go actually move, but rather it just remains as a state or as an idea. For God of course a millennium is just a fleeting moment. But, here on our beautiful planet life proceeds under its own steam, at a pace that is relevant to the time. People are born, growing, go kindergarten, school, university, work and then retire. After such a long journey to us mere mortals, people have got plenty of time to rest and relax. The youth of today have love and time and run, if it stops tomorrow; the older you are the more memories and moments you begin to understand. And every person in his/ her 30s, 40s, 50s etc can say the life really only begins to make any sense, once you have the knowledge of time. The young see and rush at life with such vigour thinking it is only going to last the one day, but this is truly only a prelude for a real life. I have noted that many retired people still retain plenty of energy and power. They are ready to go be active and go on holidays and still want to experience new emotions and feelings. The time and new freedom gives them the wings to fly! With such a wide range of psychic types and individualities, there is among us a diversity of reasons, motivations and goals that these travellers are intent on seeing.

Academic thinking people like intellectual travelling. They are often interested in feeding their brain with fresh information that stimulates their thoughts. The most important aspect of their travel is to learn and open your mind and discover new things. I suggest that people with good sense would like to visit historical places, new locations, places of interest, tourist attractions, museums, parks, zoos, aquariums…They adore to meet new people, study new cultures, find out new facts about history, locations, countries etc. They are by definition curios and the more places they visit, the more satisfied they feel and a need to look for more. I also propose that a second type of seeker is found to be fonder of the physical pastimes. They still enjoy the adventures of travel, but they go further by delving into the likes of camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, rafting, canoeing and in general water sports or any other physical activities. I feel it provides such people with a portion of adrenalin, as they like the risk and most definitely the feel the end justifies the means! Creative people get inspiration from art. Art is a style of life that stimulates them for masterpieces and deeds. Depending on the particular passion a person can go to Austria for seeing the best performance at the State Vienna Opera House, Metropolitan Opera in New York or to see a musical performance in a Broadway Theatre. Also for an artistic type it can be an appeal to visit galleries of pictures, to attend a movie festival etc. There is one more group of people that really enjoy the life of socialising during their trips. “Social people” love to visit their families, friends and meet new people. It is important for retired people feel like they are a part of a global community, they made their contribution and they should now enjoy and reap the rewards.

So, what is your choice regarding travelling? Would you like to go to an unknown location and explore it, to get some knowledge or have fun exploring the unknown? I know of a place where all these aspirations can be found, something that will gibe them a very personal insight into themselves. The Isle of Wight is the right place for holiday- makers. There are so many IOW attractions worth seeing. IOW tourism is developed at a high standard with the European culture and traditions.

Ventnor is my Favourite Town

Ventnor is my Favourite Town

Ventnor is my Favourite Town

I want to start my story with one of my most favorite my emotional experiences whilst on holiday. I have been to the Isle of Wight and I liked the island very much. It is a green and covered in super flora and fauna and is nice and tranquil and one of the best places in Europe where my soul and mind can rest for a while from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. But the town I lied most of all was that of Ventnor.

If you are going to visit the IOW, do drop into Ventnor. It`s a lovely seaside resort with a long tradition, perfect for a family holiday as it has a real Mediterranean feel to it and is one of the hidden wonders of the island. It is situated right on the south coast tip of eh Island looking out over the English Channel towards France. Built in part upon the inclined cliffs, it nestles in the shelter of steep sided hills and falls steeply towards the sea offering some magnificent views from the many viewing points one can stop at. This town is very nice because of its mild climate and therapeutic sea air. Just a minute or two from the town centre you feel this splendid atmosphere of sheltered tropical weather as Ventnor often receives the highest amount of sunny days for the whole of England.

Historically speaking, Ventnor began its life as just a small fishing rural community. Often associated with smuggling and the odd costal ship wreck due to the notorious Ventnor ledge, which used to catch unfamiliar sea captains unaware and cause catastrophic damage to their ships. In 1866 the Isle of Wright Railway was constructed and this date initiated fabulous growth with the community, the town prospered, flourishing with growth all over Ventnor. Due to the type of warm weather, Ventnor became a therapeutic centre with the UK`s largest sanatorium for TB, which at the time was untreatable and deadly. Nearby Bonchurch became the haunt of a number of famous writers, including Charles Dickens.

He stayed in this village for a while very close to the Old Bonchurch Church, which has a really quaint plaque saying “Refurbished in 1086″ outside on the wall. This small village is almost unchanged, with its village pond and pretty cottages can be reached by a pleasant and easy stroll along the sea wall from the harbour. Ventnor Botanical Gardens is one of the most famous attractions just outside the town. It is very beautiful and has a tremendous variety of flora and fauna on display, the local microclimate of Ventnor allows for many tropical and sub tropical plants of all kinds to grow, making for really fantastic experience as you walk through the many styles of gardens on display. Here you can find gorgeous plants from Japan, New Zealand and Australia. All through the village is the perfect place for growing many a rare flower or plant.

The temperature and humidity sees many flourishing tropical flowers just growing wild in many of the cottage gardens. However, around about in this area you can observe many features created by the landslip, as the surrounding hills are vulnerable to slippages due to their makeup and the steep hillsides they cling to. This geological aspect is called Graben. Due to this factor several houses have moving over the centuries as well as underground pipes and cables of supplies being destroyed as the movement occurs.

All in all Ventnor still remains one of the popular destinations to vacation to, Its sandy beach is great for relaxation; a walk along the coast path takes you to the famous 22 acre Botanic Gardens, Steephill Cove- one of the island`s hidden gems, do try and go there, take a camera it`s just fantastic. Ventnor town has several supermarkets and a good mix of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurant, together with a great choice of accommodation and fine dining. Ventnor is considering one of the main IOW attractions. Hotels IOW with open doors all year round.

The Isle of Wight is a fantastic location in Europe. Outstanding natural attraction and wonderful beaches appeal to holidaymakers. If you want to find Isle of Wight hotel, welcome to the Island Eye.

Have you ever been to the Isle of Wight? This splendid Island of natural beauty is situated off the south coast of the United Kingdom and is one of the largest islands of the British Isles being twenty miles wide by eleven miles. This old village is famous for its lovely thatched cottages restaurants, and pubs as well as many tourist shops selling trinkets and Island novelties of all kinds. What does the name of this village mean? The word Shanklin is of Saxon origin which means a deep and narrow valley. It has a long, sandy beach which is great for sunbathing, and one of its attractions is its fine gardens, including the extra special Shanklin Chine, this is a beautiful ravine down to the sea, filled with rare plants and a wonderful waterfall as well as a lot of interesting flora and fauna.

You will be very much surprised to know that these holes are the homes of wasps. So, be careful not to get bitten by them. Shanklin`s long esplanade is served by road trains that take you back up to your hotel, from the play arenas, and places to eat and drink which are found along the promenade.

The town itself has a good choice of restaurant, cafes and pubs, and is also home to an annual regatta and excellent carnival processions. Many Ice cream parlors are on hand, and in the heat of the summer afternoon Shanklin is the perfect place to pass the time. How to Have an Idyllic Romantic Vacation

Are you fed up with you ordinary routine life? Do you want to go far away and lay on the beach just enjoy the warmth of the Sun? Then stop dreaming and start moving. What do you really need for your perfect romantic break? Well, I first suggest here to think on where to take such a trip. Initially you can choose any direction, but if you want to feel really comfortable, opt for a UK spot.

In the UK you have everything at your fingertips and the United Kingdom can be a very convenient and homely place, somewhere that at first thought does not neatly fit into the imagination as a romantic location. OK, once you have established where you are going to stay, the secondary thing is a little matter of the budget, what sum of money are ready to spend or will be needed? Also while I am on the subject, I want to draw your attention on a very important factor with regard to romance. What does this word mean for you? Of course, individualities are differing and consequently there is a huge amount of preferences that need to be catered for.

Some people like to be surrounded by nature and feel that splendid breath of nature. Walking hand in hand along a golden sanded beach, camping, or any other exciting activities satisfies such a category of person. Others prefer to stay at a hotel, read an interesting book or have a nice chat with new friends over a pot of tea. Then there are those people who prefer to be treated like stars always in the middle throng of the people and in wishing to stand out in the crowd. These people often enjoy the frantic nightlife going to their favorite clubs, discos, restaurants, having a great time enjoying the razzmatazz of the parties with a glass of champagne. Furthermore, there are couples who dislike these noisy gatherings, but do like a simple quite restaurant with pleasant music, delicious meals, hospitable staff and excellent English service. All topped off with a glass of good wine, while looking into their beloved ones eyes. In doing so, they share their love and tender moment with all of us; making our world a better and more beautiful place to live in. Now you see form this that there are many different conceptions about romance and romantic pastimes. A third thing you may wish to consider is the time you wish to devote to the vacation.

Whether you can have a short or a long trip, you must plan and arrange your holiday carefully. Your holiday schedule and happiness greatly depends on this important factor. Remember that short period breaks can be romantic, one can enjoy them just as much having great fun. If you only have a limited amount of time, then choose something very exciting that can give a super portion of positive emotions for you and your beloved one to cherish and remember.

The island boasts a variety of attractions, including Osborne House which was once home to the Queen, the Amazon World Zoo Park full of tropical birds, animals and insects and Robin Hill Adventure Park. The natural heritage of the island has also made it popular with people seeking holidays focused on wildlife and geology.
The Isle of Wight is home to two of the most exciting music festivals in the country; the Isle of Wight Festival, which will be headlined by Jay-Z and Paul McCartney, and Bestival, headlined by the Prodigy and Flaming Lips. Restaurants In New Forest Hotels Take Some Beating

Restaurants In New Forest Hotels Take Some Beating

Restaurants In New Forest Hotels Take Some Beating

Within the Cliff House Hotel, located in southern England, is the New Forest Restaurant, or the Bay Restaurant. The refurbished restaurant is at the edge of the New Forest, and non-residents enjoy it, as residents do, for the delightful English cuisine.

Open from Tuesday through Sunday afternoon, you will be able to enjoy lunch, which is served from 12:00 pm until 2, and dinner begins at 7:00. There is also a wonderful Sunday Roast, which is a highly recommended treat.

The Isle of Wight awaits you, as you gaze longingly at it through the large windows of the Sunroom. Also inviting are the views of the Christchurch Bay. The Sunroom is a comfortable area to spend with friends over coffee and pastries during the later morning hours, and also snacks, and lunch and dinner dates. Later in the afternoon cream teas are served.

Lounge in the bar or the al fresco patio, enjoying the comfort of the sea air, and mingling with friends and new acquaintances. The aroma of seafood cooking, along with the seaside atmosphere will remind you that the Bay Restaurant only serves fresh fish and local produce just recently picked.

For lunch, one might sample a couple of scrumptious appetizers, such as the prawn cocktail, or the chicken liver pate with toast and red onion marmalade. There are also splendid soups, such as Chickpea and Lemon. For a main course, one would have an excellent selection. Such English cuisine as the Steak and Kidney Pie should tempt the diner, or perhaps the simply grilled fresh fillet of haddock. While in England one might want to try an East Indian flavor, such as in the delicious beef madras curry, which is served with basmati rice and a poppadum. The lunches are each accompanied by the freshly produced vegetables of the locale, or chips.

For dessert you will be tempted by the fruit salad in a brandy snap basket. Or the apple and berry crumble is delicious, as well, made with the local Bramley apples and berries.

Before dinner you will want to sample some of the appetizers offered. There is the salmon and leek fishcake, served with a sweet chili dressing, or maybe the baked camembert with apple and rosemary jelly, along with celery and a toasted ciabatta. For the main course you will want to feast on one of the wonderful entrees, perhaps either the Lymington dressed crab with avocado salad and new potatoes, or maybe the roast duck breast with orange and ginger sauce.

Only the best is purchased here for the beef lover. Hampshire beef is served as an eight to ten ounce sirloin stead, or a six to eight ounce fillet. Or if you prefer, the Steak Diane is subject to availability. Peppercorn sauce supplement is also offered.

Whether for a quaint luncheon with friends, or a romantic dinner for two, the New Forest Restaurant, called the Bay Restaurant, offers breathtaking scenery in the small coastal village of Barton-on-Sea. It is walking distance from the New Forest National Park for a delightful journey of nature walks, and it is about thirty minutes from a wonderful seaside resort, Boumemouth, that has pubs, theatre, and shops for all.

If you want to find out the latest events and activities in the new forest hotel, you should look on the Web to find their web page. The New Forest Restaurant has always been a very good place to visit during the summer or even during peak times of the year.

The Cliff House Hotel with impressive seaside views offers a wonderful location to stay or perhaps to have lunch or an evening meal, so if you are searching for New Forest Hotels or New Forest Restaurants, look no further than the The Cliff House
